Before Wrath of the Lich King, World PvP was a pretty simple aspect of World of Warcraft. There were a handful of objectives in Outland that allowed players to do a couple of very simple tasks like retaking Haala or killing their opponents and taking the towers or beacons in Zangarmarsh, Hellfire or Terokkar Forest. The objectives were easy but no one really did them because the reward was minimal and was often zone-wide so everyone got it.

Season 5 of the Arena has been dubbed all sorts of things already but more than anything else, it is an obvious testing ground for PvP situations that cannot be hashed out very well in testing by Blizzard. For this reason, there are a number of constant and steady changes that are going through the game to help balance out classes and set up a more steady and confined competition.

The initial rush of getting Wrath of the Lich King and rushing your way to the end of the new content as fast as possible has probably worn off by now many times over and you may even have a second character all the way up to Level 80 and standing by, waiting to do something. So, what do you do next? What else is there to do when you hit the magic 80? Luckily, Blizzard is among the best and always prepping end-game content and this time around is no different.
