The Warcraft Freak Recommends Warcraft Formula
Hey, guys. I’m all about giving props when they’re due. And Warcraft Formula gets them front and center from The Warcraft Freak.
Every now and then a new product comes around that quite literally blows everything else out of the water, rewriting the rules for what we should expect from our World of Warcraft guides. There were the original leveling guides. There was Warcraft Millionaire. There was the PvP Bible.
And now there is Warcraft Formula. From the creators of Warcraft Millionaire and PvP Bible, this new monthly guide series is already showing that it goes above and beyond anything you could possibly expect from the one and done guides on the market today.
First of all, the pedigree here is pretty solid. The authors of the guides on Warcraft Formula are Brad Johnson (of Warcraft Millionaire fame) and T Dub Sanders (of PvP Bible and WotLK Secrets fame). The two are a great pair, bringing in gold making and PvP – the two most popular sources of information and guides for the game – and they pretty much have all the resources you could need to be effective in the game.
The premise of the site is pretty simple. You pay an upfront fee to get their Fast Track Action Plan – a guide that shows you how to put a solid account together. The guide is actually a lot more useful than it sounds at first look – it shows you how to pick a character but it also shows you which mods to get, how to join a guide, where to level and farm gold, and how to start in PvP and raiding. It’s a solid walkthrough of all the basics of the game for a beginner or a casual veteran.
Most important, though, is that Warcraft Formula isn’t a single guide. It’s a ton of guides, with a new one added to the mix every month. I reviewed the first couple of months for this review and they were top notch content. Each guide was 30 pages long and included three features, top news from the month, questions from readers, an action plan and a preview of the next month. Each feature was full of useful content that was designed to do just about anything you needed it to – from building up a powerful play through strategy for a Death Knight to creating a 10 man raiding group. It’s not hyper specific information, but it’s a heck of a lot more than the general strategies you get from the existing guides on the market.
To top things off, you get access to all past guides making the whole thing jam packed with information about everything you could possibly need to know without spending all that extra time reading through useless other guides.
